Misalignment typically does not worsen significantly in this timeframe, but crowding can make cleaning more difficult, increasing cavity and gum disease risk.
Crowded teeth continue to be harder to clean. Gum recession may begin in areas where teeth are pushed out of optimal alignment.
Alignment issues tend to slowly worsen over time. Teeth that are already crowded may shift further, potentially making future treatment more complex.
